As the lead engineer on site the project engineer will ensure the highest levels of health and safety as well as being responsible for the
engineering paperwork for the project. Working closely with the site Project Manager to ensure site requirements
are relayed in a timely manner for procurement, invoicing and commercially for variations and/or delays to the
original programme. Identifying opportunities for the business and ensuring customers are receieving a best in
class advisory service. As a supervisor of the engineering team the Project Engineer will take ownership of health
and safety, ensuring they fully understand the risks associated with the works. Leading by example the Project
Engineer will be key to the development of Engineers, Jr Engineers and Apprentice Engineers, acting as a mentor
to ensure that they educate all junior team members on all the skills required to succeed as in their development
in the industry.

The Project Engineer will be an advocate in ensuring the AinsCo culture and principles are
followed at all times and challenging where necessary any of the team not following these principles.
As a supervisor there are additional responsibilities associated with ensuring the AinsCo Fire & Security culture
and business plan are adopted and embraced by the engineering team through engagement with management
and feedback. It is essential that Supervisors understand there wider responsibility as a point of focus within the
business for effective communication of ideas and upcoming changes. The ability to communicate effectively and
professionally is a key carachteristic of the role.

Specific Responsibilities
- Supervision of site activities in line with programme and specification.
- Coordinating labour on site to ensure the project is delivered efficiently.
- Working closely with the Project Manager to relay site requirements in a timely manner.
- Working closely with the Project Manager to ensure delays are reported effectively.
- Working closely with the Project Manager to ensure variations are identified and actioned.
- Working closely with the Project Manager to ensure progress is recorded adequately for monthly applications.
- Acting as AinsCo Fire & Security site contact for the customer, ensuring communication between site and Project
Manager is effective.
- Responsibility for engineering paperwork.
- Ownership of site health and safety requirements.
- Competent and knowledgeable acting as point of contact for engineering team on site.
